Journey through the Jazz Age as the Ted Lewis Museum revisits the heyday of Circleville’s own Ted Lewis and his Band! For the first time in over a century, hear over 20 of his most popular Columbia recordings “Tiger Rag,” “When My Baby Smiles at Me,” “St. Louis Blues,” “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” and much more recreated in this “living history” concert. With vintage instruments, period costumes and newly transcribed original arrangements, this musical revue is sure to transport you back a century. Nationally renowned bandleader, clarinetist, and entertainer Matt Tolentino leads his 10-piece jazz band. Gavin Rice, bandleader of the Famous Collegiates in Rochester, NY, is special guest “trap” drummer. After all, it’s the ’20s again, come help make them roar at this FREE event!

Local historian Bob Hines will talk about Ashville’s Snake Den Mounds, as well as the people who built them and their culture.
What is so unusual about the Ashville area? If you read Bob Hines’s book, Amazing Ashville, you know there are plenty of unusual stories about this area. Author Bob Hines will visit to share stories that never made it into his book, and he will attempt to answer any questions you might have about the area, including the founding of the local towns and their early days.
