Try archery for the first time at Deer Creek State Park! All equipment is provided along with instruction from a certified Archery Instructor. Fun for the whole family and beginners of all ages. Enclosed shoes and a signed liability waiver (adult signature required) are mandatory. Participants must attend the safety brief at 4:30pm. Space is limited — sign up in advance using the QR code at the park.

Join other women ages 16 and up for a fun, beginner-friendly weekend of outdoor exploration at Deer Creek State Park. Run by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, this three-day getaway includes two nights’ lodging in the newly renovated lodge, five delicious meals, snacks, a commemorative t-shirt, instruction, gear, transportation between activities, and all program materials.
Choose from beginner sessions in paddling, fishing, archery, hiking, gun basics & range shooting, nature art, wildlife exploration, and more—each taught by experienced instructors in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether you’ve never held a fishing rod or you’re curious about archery, you’ll learn new skills, meet friends, and discover the outdoor fun available right here in Ohio.

Kids can try their hand at fishing, archery, sporting clays, and other interactive displays under the guidance of experienced instructors. No equipment or prior experience is required—just come ready to learn and play.
