Join other women ages 16 and up for a fun, beginner-friendly weekend of outdoor exploration at Deer Creek State Park. Run by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, this three-day getaway includes two nights’ lodging in the newly renovated lodge, five delicious meals, snacks, a commemorative t-shirt, instruction, gear, transportation between activities, and all program materials.
Choose from beginner sessions in paddling, fishing, archery, hiking, gun basics & range shooting, nature art, wildlife exploration, and more—each taught by experienced instructors in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether you’ve never held a fishing rod or you’re curious about archery, you’ll learn new skills, meet friends, and discover the outdoor fun available right here in Ohio.
Whether you’re a camper, boater, or just love learning useful skills, this hands-on session will teach you essential knots for outdoor adventures and everyday life. From securing a tent to tying the perfect fishing knot, these skills will come in handy in countless situations!
Event held at The Deer Creek Nature Center, located near the campground at the first left past the camp office.
