Lifepointe invites the community to Lest We Forget on Friday, September 11, at 7 p.m., an evening of honoring and remembering first responders and the military on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The program, organized by Tim Throckmorton, offers words and song at Ohio Christian University, 1476 Lancaster Pike, Circleville.

Foundations 4 Youth hosts the 9/11 Stair Climb on Friday, September 11, honoring 25 years since the September 11 attacks. Opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. at Circleville High School’s Tiger Stadium, with climbing continuing until 2 p.m. The event is presented in partnership with OhioHealth, Circleville City Schools, the Circleville Fire Department, and the City of Circleville.
Registration is $25 per person or $5 for students, payable by cash, check, or Venmo (@Renee-McIlroy preferred; include “9/11 stair climb” in the memo). Payment is required to receive an event t-shirt. Proceeds benefit Foundations 4 Youth and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Join us at Mt. Oval Historic House and Farm as we gather to remember the lives forever changed by the events of September 11 and honor the courage and sacrifice of our first responders and veterans. Spend an afternoon of remembrance, community, and patriotic music while exploring the history of Mt. Oval. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the c. 1832 Federal-style Mt. Oval Historic House, its significance in Pickaway County history, and the families who lived there, as well as tour the site’s historic log cabin and discover more about the property’s early settlement history. Enjoy a special patriotic concert by the Pickaway Community Band on the beautiful grounds of the farm. This free community event includes a patriotic concert by the Pickaway Community Band, tours of Mt. Oval’s historic log cabin, a special tribute to first responders and veterans, free chili and snacks, and a peaceful afternoon on the historic grounds of Mt. Oval. Please bring your own lawn chair so you can relax and enjoy the concert. Part of Ohio Open Doors, presented by the Ohio History Connection and Pickaway County Historical Society.
Join us for Light the Sky 2024, a heartwarming Christmas procession bringing holiday cheer to nursing home residents, hospital patients, and senior citizens. The event will feature YOUR Pickaway County First Responders escorting Santa and Mrs. Claus through Circleville!
Spectators are welcome to line up along Clark Drive near Circleville City Schools or any of the listed locations to watch this festive procession. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the joy of the season with lights, sirens, and Christmas magic.
