Mismarketing Advantage Plans & Medicare Fraud

Learn how to better understand and protect your Medicare coverage in this informative session led by experts from the Ohio Department of Insurance and the Senior Medicare Patrol.

This free presentation will cover Medicare Advantage plans, common scams targeting beneficiaries, how often to review your coverage, and how to recognize improper agent activity and misleading marketing tactics. Attendees will gain practical knowledge to help make informed decisions and avoid fraud.

The program is presented by the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), a service of the Ohio Department of Insurance. OSHIIP staff are trained by the state and do not sell or promote any insurance companies, policies, or agents.

Amber Cupp, Community Liaison with the Ohio Department of Insurance. Amber has spent the past two years helping Ohioans navigate Medicare and previously served as a public school teacher for ten years. She is passionate about public service and empowering individuals to make informed healthcare decisions.
