Four Days of Festival Traditions Return to Commercial Point
The sounds of live music, the glow of carnival rides, and the excitement of parade day will once again fill the streets of Commercial Point as the village celebrates the 98th Annual Commercial Point Homecoming Festival June 10-13.
For generations, the festival has served as one of the community’s signature summer traditions, drawing families, alumni, neighbors, and visitors back to the village for four days of entertainment, hometown celebrations, and familiar traditions that span nearly a century.
Throughout the week, the festival transforms Commercial Point into a gathering place filled with midway rides, food stands, contests, live music, family activities, and evening entertainment. Residents line the parade route, children spend evenings on the midway, and visitors gather under the shelter houses and throughout the festival grounds to reconnect and celebrate the start of summer in Pickaway County.
Hosted by the Commercial Point Community Men’s Club, the festival officially begins Wednesday evening with the Queens Contest along with karaoke, rides, and festival activities throughout town. Thursday’s Family Night features discount ride tickets, performances from Max Mobley & Friends, and the Junior Miss, Little Miss, and Mister contests.
Friday evening brings live entertainment from Anything Blue and The Spice Boys before fireworks light up the night sky at 10 p.m., one of the festival’s most anticipated traditions each year.
Saturday’s schedule features the Grand Parade stepping off at 11 a.m. through the village, followed by an afternoon of rides, Touch-a-Truck activities, reptile adventure shows, food vendors, and performances from Jillian Eliza Entertainment, Bob Browning & Double Barrel, and Sunshine James.
The festival continues to reflect the close-knit community spirit that defines Commercial Point while welcoming visitors from throughout Pickaway County and Central Ohio to experience one of the area’s longest-running hometown festivals.
