Part of the Pickaway County Library’s summer program series, Mr. Puppet and his puppet friends will have you laughing and wanting to be on stage with them.
This program will take place at 3PM at the Younkin Branch Library, 51 Long Street, Ashville. This is a repeat of the 1PM program at the Main Library in Circleville.

As a self-publishing creator and phenomenological narratologist, Dandridge will share his first-hand insights and specialized tips-n-tricks to get YOU familiar with visual narrative storytelling. He is an award-nominated comic book creator from Columbus, OH. Wanting not only to entertain, but to encourage the next generation of comic book fans and creators, he launched U Cre-8 Comics – a bridge between comics and classroom fundamentals. Through U Cre-8 Comics, Dandridge tours the country empowering, exciting and educating students on the merits of comic books.

Glen Helen Raptor Center is a rescue orgainization for all raptors and provides educational activities. Only Owls is a program suggested for 5yrs to adult. Participants will meet 3 owls native to Ohio, learn to identify owls by the sounds they make, and discover what makes them the masters of the night.

Meet at the Pickaway County Library in Circleville for a “road-show” presentation by Lancaster Parks and Recreation called Wholly Habitat. We will talk about different habitats in Ohio and see an animal from each of those habitats. This is the best way to learn about these animals – singing, seeing, touching, theatrics, and a lesson. Animals that participate generally include a skunk, a water turtle, and possibly a snake.

Join Youth Services at the Pickaway County Library for all things guinea pig! We will have a fun time of games and activities as we celebrate the 5th birthday of Pickles, our guinea pig.
Looking for ways to enjoy those cucumbers and peppers growing in your garden all year long? Join OSU Extension as we learn the safest ways to pickle and preserve your produce. We will have a hands-on demonstration as well as lots of tips to ensure a quality product.

A Matter of Balance is a series for older adults afraid of falling. Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.
This program is an 8-session series that emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. YOU WILL LEARN TO: view falls as controllable set goals for increasing activity make changes to reduce fall risks at home exercise to increase strength and balance.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? anyone concerned about falls anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength anyone who has fallen in the past anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns
Dates are August 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28 from 1PM to 3PM.
