In this five part series, Angie Pennington will walk you through the four stages of rock tumbling. During this first stage, we will talk about the best type of rocks to tumble, how to properly prepare the rocks for tumbling, and start the process of tumbling the rocks. Rough rocks and crystals will be provided by the library so you can learn about the process and watch them turn from rough to smooth, shiny, polished rocks. However, you may also bring your own rough rock to tumble!
