Wildflower Walk: Spring Ephemerals

Join Meghan, County Park District Naturalist, for a fresh look at one of spring’s earliest woodland highlights.

This guided hike will focus on spring ephemerals—short-lived wildflowers that emerge, bloom, and fade before the forest canopy fills in. Learn how to spot these seasonal treasures and why they are so important to healthy forest ecosystems.

There will be a paved path to walk along, with the potential for off-trail walking in the woods.

An adult must accompany all children under 12.
