About the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau

The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau serves as the destination marketing organization for Pickaway County, Ohio. Our mission is to promote travel, tourism, and local experiences that strengthen the economy and enhance quality of life for residents and visitors.

Through marketing, event promotion, and partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, we showcase Pickaway County’s festivals, parks, dining, lodging, attractions, and outdoor recreation. Our work helps connect visitors to meaningful experiences while supporting local growth.

Tourism plays an important role in the county’s economic vitality. Visitor spending supports local businesses, sustains jobs, and contributes to tax revenue that benefits the broader community.

Funding & Nonprofit Structure

The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau is funded primarily through the county’s lodging tax, paid by visitors staying in local accommodations. These funds are reinvested into marketing and visitor services that support tourism development throughout Pickaway County.

The Bureau’s work is supported by Explore Pickaway Foundation (formerly Attract Tourism Foundation), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting tourism and community experiences in Pickaway County.
