Arrive & Ease In

Check in and head downtown for dinner at Zwicker House. The atmosphere is relaxed but elevated, and their live music nights and ladies brunch events often draw a fun crowd. It is a good first stop — easy, comfortable, and a nice way to settle into the weekend.

After dinner, walk Main Street and pop into a few shops before turning in. Downtown Circleville is small enough to feel manageable and interesting enough to keep you moving.

Coffee, Shopping & Creative Time
Morning – Start with Coffee

Take your pick from three good options downtown. Rost Coffee keeps things simple and well done. Joyhouse Coffee has a community feel and greets every customer by name — their Roundtown Latte and Buckeye Latte are worth trying. Scioto Valley Coffee has been a Circleville staple since 2009 and is known for their frozen Scioto Valley Mocha. Any of the three works. Go with your gut.

Late Morning – Shop Downtown

Spend the morning browsing Two Old Broads and a Geezer and The Wrinkled Rabbit — antiques, vintage finds, and gifts spread across multiple rooms. It is the kind of shop that takes longer than you expect in the best way.

Make your way along Main Street and check out the local boutiques and specialty shops. Before you leave, stop at Wittich’s Fine Candies for a soda fountain treat. In business since 1840, Wittich’s is the oldest family-owned confectionery in the country and it is very much still worth a visit. They close at 5 so don’t wait too long.

Afternoon – Candle Making at Farm Market Creations

Book a candle pouring experience at Farm Market Creations. It is hands-on, creative, and something you will actually take home with you. Their storefront also carries curated small-town goods and gifts if you want to browse while you are there.

Late Afternoon – Reset

Take a walk at Canal Park along the Scioto River or head back to wherever you are staying and decompress before the evening. No agenda — just a chance to slow down before a good night out.

Wine & Music

Drive just outside town to Manchester Hill Winery, where Saturday nights often feature live music. Set on a historic family farm in the Tarlton countryside, the winery pours handcrafted wines made from estate-grown and locally sourced grapes. It is not a late-night scene — it is easygoing, conversational, and comfortable. Exactly what the evening calls for.

If you would rather stay downtown, check for music at Tootles or other local spots hosting weekend entertainment.

Brunch & One More Stop

Head to Watt Street Tavern for Sunday brunch before you head out. Before leaving town, make one last pass through downtown or grab a final coffee for the road.
