Kirk will share insights on Antarctica’s geography, governance, environmental protection efforts, wildlife including seals and penguins, ecosystems, weather, and the United States’ role in research.

A retired firefighter with 34 years of combined service in the military and with the City of Circleville, Kirk spent six months stationed at McMurdo Station in Antarctica as a contracted firefighter. He now serves as Facilities Manager at Pickaway County Library.
