Stream Quality Survey

Stream Quality Survey

Curious about what lives in our local streams? Join Tyler Streube, Zoology Educator, and Meghan Ellis, County Park District Naturalist, for a hands-on aquatic biodiversity survey at Metzger Preserve!

Participants will explore Deer Creek to sample and identify native fish and aquatic macroinvertebrates while learning how these species help us understand the health of our waterways. No prior experience is needed—just a sense of curiosity and a willingness to get your feet wet!

This is a great opportunity to learn about stream ecology, contribute to citizen science, and connect with nature right here in Pickaway County.
