DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary at the Backwoods Boom America 250 Celebration in Williamsport. \nHosted by The Backwoods Boom Committee and held at Ballard Park\, this patriotic community celebration features live music\, food trucks\, historical tributes\, family activities\, and a spectacular pyromusical fireworks show. \nThe evening begins at 5 p.m. with an opening ceremony featuring the Circleville Barbershop Chorus\, a flyover by the Historical Aircraft Squadron\, a 21-Gun Salute presented by the Sons of the American Revolution\, a flag-raising ceremony\, and the unveiling of a Revolutionary War Soldier Memorial honoring America’s founding generation. \nLive entertainment continues throughout the evening with performances by Direct Energy and the Travis Brown Band before the celebration concludes with the Backwoods Boom America 250 Pyromusical Fireworks Show at 10 p.m. \nGuests can enjoy food trucks\, vendors\, family-friendly activities\, and community fellowship throughout the evening. SUMMARY:7 Mile Bluegrass Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 7 Mile Bluegrass Festival returns to the Pickaway County Ag & Event Center in Circleville July 23–25\, 2026\, for a weekend of live music\, camping\, community\, and support for veterans. \nFounded by brothers Billy and Chuck Self\, the festival has grown into one of Pickaway County’s signature summer events\, welcoming visitors from more than 16 states and featuring performers from across the United States and Canada. The 2026 lineup includes nationally recognized bluegrass artists Junior Sisk\, Blue Highway\, Larry Sparks\, 7 Mile Bluegrass\, and more. \nAdmission is a donation of seven items per person. Contributions may include non-perishable food\, clothing\, personal care products\, or other essential items benefiting Veterans in Transition and the Chillicothe VA. In 2025\, festival attendees donated more than $50\,000 worth of food\, approximately $2\,000 in personal care and essential items\, and filled a large truck with supplies for veterans in need. \nThe festival weekend begins with an Open Mic Jam on Wednesday\, July 22\, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend or participate.
